Harischandra Sahayata Yojana(HSY Scheme)
The Government of Odisha has launched Harischandra Sahayata Yojana to facilitate cremation of the dead and help conduct last rites by the family as per the rituals followed in Hindu tradition. Through this scheme, financial assistance of Rs 4000/-(Four thousand rupees in safe of material and services) is provided at Swargadwar to the poor and destitute for conducting cremation of the deceased. Through this scheme Swargadwar is provided Fire Wood,Mukhagni Material, Brahmin,Dahak,Pathasradha Material,Wood carrying for the beneficiaries.
General Yojana
Through this Scheme, Swargadwar provides Fire wood, Mukhagni Material, Brhamin, Dahak, Pathasradha Material, Wood Carrying, Kokei and other materials as per need at affordable price, Which will paid by the relatives of deceased.
Swarga Ratha
Swarga Ratha is provided by Swargadwar Seva Samity to bring the dead person to Swargadwar for cremation. It is a prepaid service system. Its fee is Rs.750/- (Rupees seven hundred and fifty) within the Puri Municipality area and Rs.1200/- (Rupees twelve hundred) within ten kilometers from the Puri Municipality This service is available (24*7) . Dead Body Freezer
There is a dead body freezer box to preserve the body of a dead person at Swargadwar. Anyone can take the dead body freezer home and keep it at their own expense. This service is intended only within the Puri Municipality area. Dead bodies can also be kept in mortuary at Swargadwar. It is a prepaid service center. Single Window Counter
To make all arrangements, which might be essential to ensuring availability of various materials & services required to be used for the purpose of customary cremation such as fire wood, Puja samagri, Dahak, Purohit & any other materials at single window counter, which has been established under Swargadwar Seva Kendra Initiative. This counter is running round the clock – throughout the year.
Fire wood
A sales counter has been opened by the Odisha Forest Department (OFDC) for supply of firewood at Swargadwar. The official price of wood is supplied at Rs.900/- per quintal (Rs. nine hundred).Transporters are also available with trolleys to transport the wood to the designated location for cremation. This is a prepaid service for Non-HSY scheme. This service is available (24*7).
Worship and Cremation Material
There is a special retail sales counter to make available to the mourners visiting to Swargadwar. The necessary Cremation materials for the cremation work, such as Mukhagni and Pathashrad materials, clay pots, dhoti, saree, kokei, etc., available at reasonable prices. This sales counter is managed by ORMAS, Puri. This is a prepaid service for Non-HSY scheme.The Counter is open (24*7).
Dahak
Sanskar Sevaks(Dahak) are available to provide assistance to those who come to Swargadwar for Cremation work. Service price of burners for Cremation is 650/- (Rupees six hundred fifty).This is a prepaid service for Non-HSY scheme. This service is available (24*7).
Bramhan
Brahmins are available for the Sradha Karma at Swargadwar. The official fixed price of the brhamin for sradha karma services is 450/- (Rupees four hundred and fifty).This is a prepaid service for Non-HSY scheme. This service is available (24*7).
